The Story Starts With You: Filling Out Camper Forms for a Magical Summer

At Beber Camp, the journey to an unforgettable summer begins long before your camper arrives. It starts with the forms you fill out, sharing their story with us. We can’t emphasize enough how crucial this step is to ensure the best possible experience for your child. Here’s why completing your camper’s forms before the April 1 deadline matters so much—to you, to us, and most importantly, to your camper.

Why Do These Forms Matter?

The information you provide paints a picture of your camper for us to truly understand who they are. From their favorite activities to their challenges, from their proudest achievements to their quietest fears—every detail helps us prepare our staff to meet your child’s needs with care and intention. This is how we create the individualized support that defines the Beber Camp experience.

Who Uses This Information?

When you fill out these forms, your camper’s story is shared with those who need to know: counselors, division leaders, medical staff, social workers, and more. These details allow us to:

  • Provide the best care for campers with medical needs, allergies, or specific dietary requirements.
  • Ensure our team understands and supports any behavioral or learning accommodations.
  • Plan a summer filled with activities your camper will love.
  • Assist with cabin, bunking, and counselor assignments by identifying shared interests and fostering connections among campers.

What’s New This Year?

  • No Physician’s Exam Required: This year, we’re streamlining the process by removing the requirement for a physician’s exam. This simplifies your to-do list while ensuring we still have the critical information needed to care for your camper.
  • Revised Camper Code of Conduct: We’ve updated the Camper Code of Conduct, and we now require a scanned and signed copy rather than a digital signature. This ensures that all campers and families take the time to review and discuss the expectations for the upcoming summer.

Pro Tip: Complete your forms early! By submitting your forms ahead of the deadline, our team has more time to review them and connect with you if we have any questions. This ensures we can address any concerns well before summer begins.

Your Partnership Matters

We understand that some of the questions on our forms can feel personal. Sharing details about your child’s strengths and struggles, routines, or quirks may feel like a lot to ask. But this partnership is built on trust. The more we know about your camper, the better prepared we are to make their summer safe, joyful, and memorable. Remember, all information shared is handled with the utmost confidentiality.

First-Time Families

If this is your first summer with Beber Camp, we’d love to schedule an intake call with Debbie, our Director of Community Care. This call is a wonderful opportunity to discuss your camper’s unique needs, answer questions, and help you feel fully prepared for an amazing camp experience.

What Happens If I Have Questions?

If you’re uncertain about anything on the forms or want to discuss your camper’s unique needs in more depth, we’re here for you! Our team is happy to set up a call or meeting before April 1. Whether it’s discussing an IEP, a medical concern, or how to manage homesickness, we’re ready to listen and collaborate.
