On Top of the World
"I'm on top of the world, hey
I'm on top of the world, hey
Waiting on this for a while now
Paying my dues to the dirt
I've been waiting to smile, hey
Been holding it in for a while, hey
Take you with me if I can
Been dreaming of this since a child
I'm on top of the world."
Today was an exciting day for our Makor, Kesher, and Ramot campers as we returned to the Wisconsin Dells for our annual Waterpark Day. The weather was perfect, adding to the campers' enthusiasm.
Our campers enjoyed age-appropriate waterparks tailored to maximize their fun and adventure. We sent:
- Makor to Mt. Olympus, which offers a mix of water rides and dry rides perfect for their age group. They enjoyed treats like Dippin' Dots and fruit pops, topped off with a pizza dinner.
- Kesher to Noah’s Ark, known for its incredible attractions catering to both thrill seekers and novices alike.
- Ramot also to Mt. Olympus, where they reveled in both water attractions and amusement park rides, including some amazing roller coasters.
Each group was divided into smaller groups with friends, each overseen by a counselor. Leadership team members rotated through check-in locations to address any camper needs, and a nurse accompanied each group to handle any medical issues. Our talented photographers captured the day's magic, ensuring lasting memories for everyone.
A bagged lunch was provided upon arrival, and after a day filled with fun and adventure, campers enjoyed a pizza dinner before heading back to camp. The campers returned brimming with excitement and stories about the rides they conquered. Jolie and Sophie, our Makor division leaders, shared that several initially apprehensive campers were thrilled to report their newfound bravery and the numerous rides they enjoyed.
The Wisconsin Dells, known as the "Waterpark Capital of the World," is a perfect destination for such an adventure. Its unique combination of thrilling water attractions, amusement park rides, and beautiful landscapes make it an ideal spot for our campers to create unforgettable memories.
Campers arrived back at camp around 8:30 pm, ready for a shower and an early night. To ensure they are well-rested for the exciting activities ahead, they will have a late wake-up tomorrow. We also have a "recharge" night for our staff, allowing everyone, including myself, to have an early night.
Waterpark Day is more than just a fun outing; it's an opportunity for campers to bond, overcome fears, and create lifelong memories in a world-class setting. We're thrilled to have continued this beloved tradition and look forward to many more adventures in the Wisconsin Dells.
Our teen leadership campers had a very exciting day themselves as they stayed behind at camp to “take over” the waterfront. They got a chance to ski, paddleboard, canoe, hang out on the aquapark and play beach games. They enjoyed a build your own sandwich meal on the island for lunch and a dinner of campers stew! Having the camp to themselves was truly special and they took full advantage of it.
With so many exciting days here at Beber we are constantly “On Top of the World”
