Hello, Beber families! While I usually kick off my blog on the first day of camp, I couldn't wait to share my excitement after a long weekend in Mukwonago. Each spring, our dedicated Beber team, both full-time and seasonal, spends a long weekend at camp preparing for the upcoming staff training weeks. This involves a mix of heavy lifting, deep cleaning, and summer schedule planning. We dust off offices and staff lounges, ensure our technology is working, and tackle early programming tasks—all in preparation for operational staff week, leadership week, and staff week.

This weekend also marked a great opportunity for our full-time team to strengthen our collaboration and start working seamlessly together. One of the highlights included a meaningful Shabbat dinner since our head chef is currently on-site. Typically, the water isn’t even turned on at this point, but the weather has been exceptionally cooperative. The site team and other construction partners are happy with the weather leading us to get a head start on prepping the pool and wrapping up capital projects like the new Oakies cabin, the Moadan (Teen Lounge), and renovations in senior staff living spaces.

Before diving into the daily summer updates, allow me to introduce you to the Director’s Corner. This blog is a daily tradition during the summer, offering a glimpse into each day's activities, food highlights, and insights into our camp practices. I also invite you to join me in nightly trivia—music often fuels my writing inspiration (especially during those late-night writing sessions).
