Why Beber?

At Beber Camp, we firmly believe that you can only provide transformational summer camp experiences if you have the best staff. We see this summer after summer, as the staff that we select to work with our campers, positively impact our campers lives and make Beber the most amazing place on earth.

We’ve all had teachers, coaches and mentors that have touched our lives. Think back to these individuals and ask yourself why these people played such an important part in your life. It is because they took an interest in you, invested in you and pushed you to be the best you could be. As a Beber counselor, you will have the same opportunity to positively impact the lives of our campers!

We create an amazing staff community every year! Many of our staff have grown up at Beber as campers and have participated in our Teen Leadership Program. We also invite staff from around the world to join us each summer as we work to provide the best summer camp experience available. Our staff form a close community where everyone is supported and challenged to be their best in a fun, safe and inclusive environment.

As a counselor and role model at Beber, you will have the power to enrich children’s lives in lasting and meaningful ways. Your campers will

• Become leaders, make better decisions and become positive contributors to their communities.
• Remember the way you supported them during good and bad times as they make their way through their summer camp journey.

Camp staff also have tremendous opportunities to grow their leadership skills while working at Beber. As a trip leader or head counselor, you’ll sharpen your logistical skills. As a song leader, Cornerstone, or Jewish Leadership Studio Fellow, you’ll gain valuable experience facilitating both large and small group discussions and activities.
