Jane Abramson

Jane Beber Abramson is the daughter of Sam Beber.  Sam founded AZA and is whom the camp is named after. In addition to being a staunch advocate for peoples rights, Jane Beber Abramson has done many things philanthropically, including an amazing commitment to Beber Camp.  Jane always had a love for the arts, and this could not have been illustrated better then when she wowed campers every summer by doing the splits, a feat she could pull off into her 70s, at the fine arts festival.

The Jane Beber Abramson Award is presented to the camper who exemplifies leadership and service in the course of building the Beber camp community.  The award winner demonstrates their character above and beyond not just during the summer months but also for camp all year round. Past award winners include:

Summer 2009

First Session - Alex Pomerantz

Second Session - Ryan Hochman

Summer 2008

First Session - Ryan Ludwig
>
Second Session - Emma Gewurz
