The year round leadership team at Beber Camp has numerous years of Jewish camping and Beber experience. We are diverse group with camping, social work, education, and business experience blended with a passion for Jewish youth summer experiences!
Stefan Teodosic - Executive Director
Stefan brings an extensive and dynamic background to the position of Director of Beber Camp. He has been involved in Jewish camping for almost 25 years and is deeply committed to camp. Stefan believes that camp is the ultimate venue for child growth and development. He has a degree in Economics and a degree in Spanish from the University of Michigan, as well as a Masters in Business Administration from the prestigious American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird). Becky Altman - Assistant Director
Becky joined the Beber family in the summer of 1984 and has been a camper, counselor and Pioneer Leader over the years. She has a true love and commitment to Beber Camp and to providing the most positive and rewarding experiences for all campers and staff. Becky received her undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Illinois-Champaign, and a Masters in Social Work from Boston University. She is a licensed clinical social worker and has been working with parents and children in various settings for the past seven years. Email Becky
Joel Bennett - Assistant Director
Joel's first summer at camp was a two-week Rookie session in 1993. He has since returned as a camper, counselor, Division Leader, and most recently as Program Director. Passionate about travel, the environment, and Jewish Education, Joel comes to Beber full-time from campus work at the University of Wisconsin Hillel Foundation. Joel holds a bachelors degree in History and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He was recently selected to participate in the Foundation for Jewish Camp's inaugural class of Yitro Fellows, a professional development and advancement program for Assistant Jewish Summer Camp Directors. Michael Wax - Assistant Director
Michael has been devoted to Beber since the summer of 1982 where he arrived as a camper from Louisville, Kentucky. Since that time, Michael has enjoyed various roles at camp. Michael has a bachelors of science in Elementary Education from of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He also has his MBA/JD from the University of Louisville.
